Chapter 32: Rāma Gives Away His Wealth Before Departing
Text 2.32.2
तं विप्रमग्न्यगारस्थं वन्दित्वा लक्ष्मणोऽब्रवीत्। सखेऽभ्यागच्छ पश्य त्वं वेश्म दुष्करकारिणः॥
taṁ vipram agny-agārasthaṁ vanditvā lakṣmaṇo ’bravīt sakhe ’bhyāgaccha paśya tvaṁ veśma duṣkarakāriṇaḥ
tam = to that; vipram = brāhmaṇa; agni-agārastham = in the Agnihotra hall [in his residence]; vanditvā = offered His respects and; lakṣmaṇaḥ = Lakṣmaṇa; abravīt = told him; sakhe = my friend; abhyāgaccha = come; paśya tvam = and see Him; veśma = to the home; duṣkarakāriṇaḥ = of Rāma, the performer of difficult deeds.
Lakṣmaṇa offered His respects to that brāhmaṇa in the Agnihotra hall [in his residence] and told him: My friend, come to the home of Rāma, the performer of difficult deeds, and see Him.
