Chapter 32: Rāma Gives Away His Wealth Before Departing
Text 2.32.13
आगस्त्यं कौशिकं चैव तावुभौ ब्राह्मणोत्तमौ। अर्चयाहूय सौमित्रे रत्नैः सस्यमिवाम्बुभिः॥
āgastyaṁ kauśikaṁ caiva tāv ubhau brāhmaṇottamau arcayāhūya saumitre ratnaiḥ sasyam ivāmbubhiḥ
āgastyam = the son of Agastya; kauśikam = the son of Viśvāmitra; ca eva = and; tau ubhau = the; brāhmaṇa-uttamau = best of brāhmaṇas; arcaya = worship [them]; āhūya = invite and; saumitre = Lakṣmaṇa; ratnaiḥ = with excellent items; sasyam = on crops; iva = like; ambubhiḥ = rain.
Lakṣmaṇa, invite the son of Agastya and the son of Viśvāmitra, the best of brāhmaṇas, and worship them with excellent items like rain on crops.
He then elaborates on how to worship them with excellent items.
