कौसल्यां च यआशीर्भिर्भक्तः पर्युपतिष्ठति। आचार्यस्तैत्तिरीयाणामभिरूपश्च वेदवित्॥
तस्य यानं च दासीश्च सौमित्रे सम्प्रदापय। कौशेयानि च वस्त्राणि यावत्तुष्यति स द्विजः॥
kausalyāṁ ca ya āśīrbhir bhaktaḥ paryupatiṣṭhati ācāryas taittirīyāṇām abhirūpaś ca vedavit
tasya yānaṁ ca dāsīś ca saumitre sampradāpaya kauśeyāni ca vastrāṇi yāvat tuṣyati sa dvijaḥ
kausalyām ca = of Kausalyā-devī; yaḥ = who; āśīrbhiḥ = by uttering blessings; bhaktaḥ = is a devotee; paryupatiṣṭhati = he serves her; ācāryaḥ = he is a teacher; taittirīyāṇām = of the Taittirīya branch [of the Vedas]; abhirūpaḥ = an intelligent; ca = and; vedavit = a knower of the Vedas; tasya = to him; yānam ca = conveyances; dāsīḥ ca = maidservants; saumitre = O son of Sumitrā; sampradāpaya = have given; kauśeyāni = silk; ca = and; vastrāṇi = clothes; yāvat = until; tuṣyati = he is satisfied; saḥ = there is; dvijaḥ = brāhmaṇa.
O son of Sumitrā, there is an intelligent brāhmaṇa who is a devotee of Kausalyā-devī. He serves her by uttering blessings. He is a teacher of the Taittirīya branch [of the Vedas] and a knower of the Vedas.1 Have conveyances, maidservants and silk clothes given to him until he is satisfied.
