Chapter 32: Rāma Gives Away His Wealth Before Departing
Text 2.32.25

लक्ष्मणस्य च यद्वेश्म गृहं च यदिदं मम। अशून्यं कार्यमेकैकं यावदागमनं मम॥

lakṣmaṇasya ca yad veśma gṛhaṁ ca yad idaṁ mama aśūnyaṁ kāryam ekaikaṁ yāvad āgamanaṁ mama

lakṣmaṇasya = Lakṣmaṇa’s; ca = and; yat veśma = home; gṛham ca = residence; yat idam = this; mama = of Mine; aśūnyam kāryam = should not be vacant; eka-ekam = [and should be used by] each of you; yāvat = until; āgamanam = return; mama = My.

Until My return, this residence of Mine and Lakṣmaṇa’s home should not be vacant [and should be used by] each of you.

Lord Rāma desired that each of them should separately reside in these residences and take care of them until He returned.
