Chapter 32: Rāma Gives Away His Wealth Before Departing
Text 2.32.26
इत्युक्त्वा दुःखितं सर्वं जनं तमुपजीविनम्। उवाचेदं धनाध्यक्षं धनमानीयतामिति॥
ity uktvā duḥkhitaṁ sarvaṁ janaṁ tam upajīvinam uvācedaṁ dhanādhyakṣaṁ dhanam ānīyatām iti
iti = this; uktvā = having spoken; duḥkhitam = distressed; sarvam = to all; janam = people; tam = those; upajīvinam = who subsisted on Him; uvāca = He spoke; idam = the following; dhana-adhyakṣam = [to His personal] treasurer; dhanam = the wealth [in My personal treasury]; ānīyatām iti = bring.
Having spoken this to all those distressed people who had subsisted on Him, He spoke the following to [His personal] treasurer: Bring the wealth [in My personal treasury].
