Chapter 32: Rāma Gives Away His Wealth Before Departing
Text 2.32.37
स शाटीं त्वरितः कट्यां सम्भ्रान्तः परिवेष्ट्य ताम्। आविध्य दण्डं चिक्षेप सर्वप्राणेन वेगतः॥
sa śāṭīṁ tvaritaḥ kaṭyāṁ sambhrāntaḥ pariveṣṭya tām āvidhya daṇḍaṁ cikṣepa sarva-prāṇena vegataḥ
saḥ = the brāhmaṇa; śāṭīm = his cloth; tvaritaḥ = quickly; kaṭyām = to his waist; sambhrāntaḥ = excited; pariveṣṭya tām1 = tied; āvidhya = whirled around and; daṇḍam = his stick; cikṣepa = threw it; sarva-prāṇena = with all his strength 4; vegataḥ = forcefully.
The excited brāhmaṇa quickly tied his cloth to his waist, whirled his stick around and forcefully threw it with all his strength.
