Chapter 33: Rāma, Sītā and Lakṣmaṇa Depart to Meet Daśaratha

यं यान्तमनुयाति स्म चतुरङ्गबलं महत्।
तमेकं सीतया सार्धमनुयाति स्म लक्ष्मणः॥
yaṁ yāntam anuyāti sma catur-aṅga-balaṁ mahat
tam ekaṁ sītayā sārdham anuyāti sma lakṣmaṇaḥ
yam = whom; yāntam = when He traveled; anuyāti sma = used to follow; catuḥ-aṅga-balam = armed force of four divisions; mahat = a great; tam = that; ekam = important person; sītayā = by Sītā; sārdham = accompanied; anuyāti = is following; sma = alone; lakṣmaṇaḥ = Lakṣmaṇa.
Lakṣmaṇa alone is following that important person accompanied by Sītā whom a great armed force of four divisions used to follow when He traveled.1
