Canto 2 -
Ayodhyā-kāṇḍa
Chapter 35: Furious Sumantra Criticizes Kaikeyī
Text 2.35.20

ततो जृम्भस्य शयने विरुताद्भूरिवर्चसः।
पितुस्ते विदितो भावः स तत्र बहुधाहसत्।।

tato jṛmbhasya śayane virutād bhūri-varcasaḥ
pitus te vidito bhāvaḥ sa tatra bahudhāhasat

tataḥ = then; jṛmbhasya = of an ant; śayane = near his bed; virutāt = behind the sounds; bhūri-varcasaḥ = extremely powerful; pituḥ = father; te = your; viditaḥ = understood; bhāvaḥ = the intention; saḥ = [and] he; tatra = at that time; bahudhā = a lot; ahasat = laughed.

Then your extremely powerful father understood the intention behind the sounds of an ant near his bed [and] he laughed a lot at that time.

Bhūri-varcasaḥ (“extremely powerful”) indicates that Kaikeyī’s father had become more powerful because of that benediction.
