Chapter 35: Furious Sumantra Criticizes Kaikeyī
Text 2.35.26
स तच्छुत्वा वचस्तस्य प्रसन्नमनसो नृपः।
मातरं ते निरस्याशु विजहार कुवेरवत्॥
sa tac chrutvā vacas tasya prasanna-manaso nṛpaḥ
mātaraṁ te nirasyāśu vijahāra kuveravat
saḥ = the; tat = those; śrutvā = hearing; vacaḥ = words; tasya = of the sage; prasanna-manasaḥ = became pleased in mind; nṛpaḥ = king; mātaram = mother; te = your; nirasya = he then set aside and; āśu = quickly; vijahāra = lived [happily]; kuveravat = like Kuvera.
Hearing those words of the sage, the king became pleased in mind. He then quickly set aside your mother and lived [happily] like Kuvera.
