Chapter 36: Kaikeyī Forbids the King from Sending Wealth With Rāma

रूपाजीवाश्च वादिन्यो वणिजश्च महाधनाः।
शोभयन्तु कुमारस्य वाहिनीं सुप्रसारिताः॥
rūpā-jīvāś ca vādinyo vaṇijaś ca mahā-dhanāḥ
śobhayantu kumārasya vāhinīṁ suprasāritāḥ
rūpā-jīvāḥ ca = courtesans 1; vādinyaḥ = of sweet speech; vaṇijaḥ = merchants; ca = and; mahā-dhanāḥ = very wealthy; śobhayantu = may beautify; kumārasya = my son’s; vāhinīm = army; suprasāritāḥ = displaying their products at the campsite.
May courtesans of sweet speech and very wealthy merchants displaying their products at the campsite beautify my son’s army.
