Chapter 36: Kaikeyī Forbids the King from Sending Wealth With Rāma
Text 2.36.5

आयुधानि च मुख्यानि नागराः शकटानि च।
अनुगच्छन्तु काकुत्स्थं व्याधाश्चारण्यगोचराः॥

āyudhāni ca mukhyāni nāgarāḥ śakaṭāni ca
anugacchantu kākutsthaṁ vyādhāś cāraṇyagocarāḥ

āyudhāni ca = weapon carriers; mukhyāni = the chief; nāgarāḥ = native traders from the city; śakaṭāni ca = carts to transport oil, ghee and so on; anugacchantu = let follow; kākutstham = Kākutstha; vyādhāḥ = hunters; ca = and; araṇyagocarāḥ = from the forest.

Let the chief weapon carriers, native traders from the city, carts to transport oil, ghee and so on, and hunters from the forest follow Kākutstha.1

The hunters from the forest were needed to show the paths in the forest.
