Chapter 36: Kaikeyī Forbids the King from Sending Wealth With Rāma

क्रीडतस्त्वेष नः पुत्रान्वालानुद्भ्रान्तचेतनः।
सरय्वां प्रक्षिपन्मौख्यार्दतुलां प्रीतिमश्नुते॥
krīḍatas tv eṣa naḥ putrān bālān udbhrānta-cetanaḥ
sarayvāṁ prakṣipan maurkhyād atulāṁ prītim aśnute
krīḍataḥ tu = mere playful; eṣaḥ = this Asamañja; naḥ = our; putrān = sons; bālān = boys; udbhrānta-cetanaḥ = of bewildered intelligence; sarayvām = into the Sarayū; prakṣipan = throws; maurkhyāt = foolishly; atulām = incomparably; prītim = happy; aśnute = and becomes.
This Asamañja of bewildered intelligence foolishly throws our sons, mere playful boys, into the Sarayū and becomes incomparably happy.
