hitaṁ na jānāsi mamātmano vā
āsthāya mārgaṁ kṛpaṇaṁ kuceṣṭā
ceṣṭā hi te sādhu-pathād apetā

etat = [to follow] this; vacaḥ = instruction of Siddhārtha; na = don’t; icchasi = you want; pāpa-vṛtte = you woman of sinful behavior; hitam = what is good; na = don’t; jānāsi = you know; mama = for me; ātmanaḥ = you; = or; āsthāya = walking; mārgam = the path; kṛpaṇam = of abominable [behavior] 2; kuceṣṭā = you are vile in your actions; ceṣṭā = endeavors; hi = for; te = your; sādhu-pathāt = from the path of saintliness; apetā = have deviated.

You woman of sinful behavior, you don’t want [to follow] this instruction of Siddhārtha. You don’t know what is good for me or you. Walking the path of abominable behavior, You are vile in your actions, for your endeavors have deviated from the path of saintliness.

GLOSS. Daśaratha’s point was: “Because your activities are evil and you have taken shelter of the path of abominable behavior, you don’t know what is good for you. Not being on the path of the saints, this endeavor of yours will harm you.”
