Chapter 39: Kausalyā Instructs Sītā
Text 2.39.18
व्यराजयत वैदेही वेश्म तत्सुविभूषिता।
उद्यतोंऽशुमतः काले खं प्रभेव विवस्वतः॥
vyarājayata vaidehī veśma tat suvibhūṣitā
udyato ’ṁśumataḥ kāle khaṁ prabheva vivasvataḥ
vyarājayata = illuminated; vaidehī = Vaidehī; veśma = house; tat = the; suvibhūṣitā = nicely decorated; udyataḥ = rising; aṁśumataḥ = of brilliant rays; kāle = at the right time; kham = [brightens up] the sky; prabhā = the illumination; iva = just as; vivasvataḥ = of the sun.
Nicely decorated, Vaidehī illuminated the house just as the illumination of the rising sun of brilliant rays [brightens up] the sky at the right time.
