न चेमां धर्षणां रामः संगच्छेदत्यमर्षणः।
दारयेन्मन्दरमपि स हि क्रुद्धः शितैः शरैः।
त्वां तु नोत्सहते हन्तुं महात्मा पितृगौरवात्॥
na cemāṁ dharṣaṇāṁ rāmaḥ saṅgacched atyamarṣaṇaḥ
dārayen mandaram api sa hi kruddhaḥ śitaiḥ śaraiḥ
tvāṁ tu notsahate hantuṁ mahātmā pitṛ-gauravāt
na ca = not; imām = this; dharṣaṇām = offense; rāmaḥ = when Rāma is; saṅgacchet = may He come across; atyamarṣaṇaḥ = extremely angry; dārayet = He can tear apart; mandaram = the Mandara; api = even; saḥ hi kruddhaḥ = when He is angry; śitaiḥ = with His sharp; śaraiḥ = arrows; tvām = you; tu = however; na = not; utsahate = will desire; hantum = to hurt; mahā-ātmā = that great soul; pitṛ-gauravāt = out of His respect for you, His father.
When Rāma is extremely angry, may He not come across this offense. When He is angry, He can even tear apart the Mandara with His sharp arrows. However, that great soul will not desire to hurt you out of His respect for you, His father.
