Chapter 62: Kausalyā Pacifies Daśaratha
Text 2.62.2
चिन्तयित्वा स च नृपो मुमोह व्याकुलेन्द्रियः।
अथ दीर्घेण कालेन संज्ञामाप परंतपः॥
cintayitvā sa ca nṛpo mumoha vyākulendriyaḥ
atha dīrgheṇa kālena saṁjñām āpa parantapaḥ
cintayitvā = after contemplating on it; saḥ = the; ca = and; nṛpaḥ = king; mumoha = fainted; vyākula-indriyaḥ = his senses became agitated; atha dīrgheṇa kālena = after a long time; saṁjñām āpa = became conscious; parantapaḥ = that scorcher of enemies.
After contemplating on it, his senses became agitated and the king fainted. After a long time, that scorcher of his enemies became conscious.
