Ayodhyā-kāṇḍa
Chapter 65: Daśaratha’s Wives Lament About his Departure
Text 2.65.26

ताभिः स बलवान्नादः क्रोशन्तीभिरनुद्रुतः।
येन स्थिरीकृतं भूयस्तद्गृहं समनादयत्॥

tābhiḥ sa balavān nādaḥ krośantībhir anudrutaḥ
yena sthirī-kṛtaṁ bhūyas tad gṛhaṁ samanādayat

tābhiḥ = the sound; saḥ = the; balavān = loud; nādaḥ = sound [of the cries of Kausalyā and others]; krośantībhiḥ = of the cries of those who had entered; anudrutaḥ = joined; yena sthirī-kṛtam = filling; bhūyaḥ = even more [loudly]; tat = the; gṛham = house; samanādayat = [that now] resounded.

The loud sound [of the cries of Kausalyā and others] joined the sound of the cries of those who had entered, filling the house [that now] resounded even more [loudly].

“Those who had entered” refers to Kaikeyī and others. The entire house echoed with the great sound [of the cries of all these ladies].
