Chapter 66: Daśaratha’s Ministers Preserve his Body
Text 2.66.9
विदेहराजस्य सुता तथा सीता तपस्विनी।
दुःखस्यानुचिता दुःखं वने पर्युद्विजिष्यति॥
videha-rājasya sutā tathā sītā tapasvinī
duḥkhasyānucitā duḥkhaṁ vane paryudvijiṣyati
videha-rājasya = of Videha; sutā = the princess; tathā = and; sītā = Sītā; tapasvinī = should be pitied upon; duḥkhasya = for distress; anucitā = [for] she is not meant; duḥkham = miserably; vane = in the forest; paryudvijiṣyati = she will face dangers.
And Sītā, the princess of Videha, should be pitied upon [for] she is not meant for distress. She will miserably face dangers in the forest.
