Chapter 66: Daśaratha’s Ministers Preserve his Body
Text 2.66.10
नदतां भीमघोषाणां निशासु मृगपक्षिणाम्।
निशम्य नूनं संत्रस्ता राघवं संश्रयिष्यति॥
nadatāṁ bhīma-ghoṣāṇāṁ niśāsu mṛga-pakṣiṇām
niśamya nūnaṁ santrastā rāghavaṁ saṁśrayiṣyati
nadatām bhīma-ghoṣāṇām = shriek terribly; niśāsu = at night; mṛga-pakṣiṇām = when beasts and birds; niśamya = upon hearing them; nūnam = certainly; santrastā = Sītā-devī will become terrified; rāghavam = of Rāghava; saṁśrayiṣyati = and take shelter.
When beasts and birds shriek terribly at night, Sītā devī will certainly become terrified upon hearing them and take shelter of Rāghava.
