Chapter 66: Daśaratha’s Ministers Preserve his Body
Text 2.66.17

बाहूनुद्यम्य कृपणा नेत्रप्रस्रवणैर्मुखैः।
रुदन्त्यः शोकसंतप्ताः कृपणं पर्यदेवयन्॥

bāhūn udyamya kṛpaṇā netra-prasravaṇair mukhaiḥ
rudantyaḥ śoka-santaptāḥ kṛpaṇaṁ paryadevayan

bāhūn = their arms; udyamya = lifting; kṛpaṇāḥ = those miserable ladies; netra-prasravaṇaiḥ = were filled with streams of tears from their eyes; mukhaiḥ = their faces; rudantyaḥ = cried; śoka-santaptāḥ = afflicted by distress; kṛpaṇam paryadevayan = and they sorrowfully cried out aloud.

Lifting their arms, those miserable ladies cried, afflicted by distress. Their faces were filled with streams of tears from their eyes and they sorrowfully cried out aloud.
