Chapter 66: Daśaratha’s Ministers Preserve his Body
Text 2.66.22
यया तु राजा रामश्च लक्ष्मणश्च महाबलः।
सीतया सह संत्यक्ताः सा कमन्यं न हास्यति॥
yayā tu rājā rāmaś ca lakṣmaṇaś ca mahā-balaḥ
sītayā saha saṁtyaktāḥ sā kam anyaṁ na hāsyati
yayā tu = she; rājā = the king; rāmaḥ = Rāma; ca = and; lakṣmaṇaḥ = Lakṣmaṇa; ca = as well as; mahā-balaḥ = of great strength; sītayā saha = Sīta; saṁtyaktāḥ = has rejected; sā = she; kam = who; anyam = else; na = would not; hāsyati = reject.
She has rejected the king, Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa of great strength as well as Sītā. Who else would she not reject?
