Chapter 68: Vasiṣṭha’s Messengers go to Bring Bharata
Text 2.68.11
ततः प्रास्थानिकं कृत्वा कार्यशेषमनन्तरम्।
वसिष्ठेनाभ्यनुज्ञाता दूताः संत्वरिता ययुः॥
tataḥ prāsthānikaṁ kṛtvā kārya-śeṣam anantaram
vasiṣṭhenābhyanujñātā dūtāḥ santvaritā yayuḥ
tataḥ = then; prāsthānikam = in preparation for the journey; kṛtvā = did; kārya-śeṣam = whatever else they had to do; anantaram = and then; vasiṣṭhena = of Vasiṣṭha; abhyanujñātāḥ = with the permission; dūtāḥ = the messengers; santvaritāḥ = in a hurry; yayuḥ = departed.
The messengers then did whatever else they had to do in preparation for the journey and then, with the permission of Vasiṣṭha, departed in a hurry.
They again took permission from Vasiṣṭha to indicate the slight delay [in departing].
