Canto 2 -
Ayodhyā-kāṇḍa
Chapter 68: Vasiṣṭha’s Messengers go to Bring Bharata
Text 2.68.17

अभिकालं ततः प्राप्य ते बोधिभवनाच्च्युताम्।
पितृपैतामहीं पुण्यां तेरुरिक्षुमतीं नदीम्॥

abhikālaṁ tataḥ prāpya te bodhi-bhavanāc cyutām
pitṛ-paitāmahīṁ puṇyāṁ terur ikṣumatīṁ nadīm

abhikālam = the village Abhikāla; tataḥ = then; prāpya = reached; te = they; bodhi-bhavanāt = from the mountain Bodhibhavana; cyutām = that flowed down; pitṛ-paitāmahīm puṇyām = this sacred river was connected to their fathers and grandfathers; teruḥ = and then crossed; ikṣumatīm = Ikṣumatī; nadīm = the river.

Then they reached the village Abhikāla and then crossed the river Ikṣumatī that flowed down from the mountain Bodhibhavana. This sacred river was connected to their fathers and grandfathers.

Bodhibhavana was a mountain next to Kuliṅgā. Pitṛ-paitāmahīm indicates that Ikṣumatī was known to Daśaratha’s lineage. It is implied that the villages on its bank belonged to the Ikṣuvākus.
