Text 2.75.55

ब्राह्मणायोद्यतां पूजां विहन्तु कलुषेन्द्रियः।
बालवत्सां च गां दोग्धु यस्यार्योऽनुमते गतः॥

brāhmaṇāyodyatāṁ pūjāṁ vihantu kaluṣendriyaḥ
bāla-vatsāṁ ca gāṁ dogdhu yasyāryo ’numate gataḥ

brāhmaṇāya = of a brāhmaṇa; udyatām = that has begun; pūjām = the worship; vihantu = may he stop; kaluṣa-indriyaḥ = become sensually agitated; bāla-vatsām = a bāla-vatsā; ca = and; gām = cow; dogdhu = milk; yasya = whose; āryaḥ = noble Rāma; anumate = with consent; gataḥ = has departed [to the forest].

May he with whose consent Rāma departs [to the forest] stop the worship of a brāhmaṇa that has begun, become sensually agitated and milk a bāla-vatsā cow.1

A bāla-vatsā cow is one whose calf is not more than ten days old.

1 A person who consents to Rāma’s departure will accrue sinful reactions that lead to his sensual agitation which will lead to his performance of the two forbidden activities mentioned here.
