Chapter 96: Lakṣmaṇa Notices Bharata’s Army
Text 2.96.13
tām aśva-gaja-sampūrṇāṁ ratha-dhvaja-vibhūṣitām
śaśaṁsa senāṁ rāmāya vacanaṁ cedam abravīt
tām aśva-gaja-sampūrṇām = which was full of horses and elephants; ratha-dhvaja-vibhūṣitām = and decorated with chariots and flags bound to them; śaśaṁsa = He informed; senām = about the army; rāmāya = Rāma; vacanam = words; ca = then; idam = the following; abravīt = He spoke.
He informed Rāma about the army. It was full of horses and elephants, and decorated with chariots and flags bound to them. He then spoke the following words.
