Chapter 100: Rāma Instructs Bharata About the Duties of a King

बलवन्तश्च कच्चित्ते मुख्या युद्धविशारदाः।
दृष्टापदाना विक्रान्तास्त्वया सत्कृत्य मानिताः॥
balavantaś ca kaccit te mukhyā yuddha-viśāradāḥ
dṛṣṭāpadānā vikrāntās tvayā satkṛtya mānitāḥ
balavantaḥ = who are extremely strong; ca = and; kaccit = do; te = those; mukhyāḥ = famous army chiefs; yuddha-viśāradāḥ = expert in war; dṛṣṭa-apadānāḥ = whose noble acts of bravery have been directly perceived; vikrāntāḥ = courageous 5; tvayā = You; satkṛtya = honor; mānitāḥ = and respect.
Do You honor and respect those famous army chiefs who are extremely strong, courageous, expert in war and whose noble acts of bravery have been directly perceived?
“Honor and respect” means “award gifts and glorify [in public].”
