देवतार्थे च पित्रर्थे ब्राह्मणाभ्यागतेषु च।
योधेषु मित्रवर्गेषु कच्चिद्गच्छति ते व्ययः॥
devatārthe ca pitr-arthe brāhmaṇābhyāgateṣu ca
yodheṣu mitra-vargeṣu kaccid gacchati te vyayaḥ
devatā-arthe ca = on the deities; pitṛ-arthe = forefathers; brāhmaṇa-abhyāgateṣu = brāhmaṇas, uninvited guests; ca = and; yodheṣu = warriors; mitra-vargeṣu = friends; kaccit = are; gacchati te vyayaḥ = You spending.
