Chapter 102: Rāma Performs Śrāddha for King Daśaratha
Text 2.102.11
निष्प्रधानामनेकाग्रां नरेन्द्रेण विनाकृताम्।
निवृत्तवनवासोऽपि नायोध्यां गन्तुमुत्सहे॥
niṣpradhānām anekāgrāṁ narendreṇa vinākṛtām
nivṛtta-vana-vāso ’pi nāyodhyāṁ gantum utsahe
niṣpradhānām = with no leader; aneka-agrām = and in a disturbed state 3; nara-indreṇa vinā-kṛtām = deprived of its king; nivṛtta-vana-vāsaḥ api = even after I complete My residence in the forest; na = don’t; ayodhyām = to an Ayodhyā; gantum = to go; utsahe = I want.
Even after I complete My residence in the forest, I don’t want to go to an Ayodhyā deprived of its king, with no leader and in a disturbed state.
