Chapter 102: Rāma Performs Śrāddha for King Daśaratha
Text 2.102.42

वराहवृकसङ्घाश्च महिषाः सर्पवानराः।
व्याघ्रगोकर्णगवया वित्रेसुः पृषतैः सह॥

varāha-vṛka-saṅghāś ca mahiṣāḥ sarpa-vānarāḥ
vyāghra-gokarṇa-gavayā vitresuḥ pṛṣataiḥ saha

varāha-vṛka-saṅghāḥ = herds of boars and wolves; ca = as well as; mahiṣāḥ sarpa-vānarāḥ = buffaloes, snakes, monkeys; vyāghra-gokarṇa-gavayāḥ = tigers, gokarṇas, gavayas; vitresuḥ = became frightened; pṛṣataiḥ saha = and spotted antelopes.

Herds of boars and wolves as well as buffaloes, snakes, monkeys, tigers, gokarṇas, gavayas and spotted antelopes became frightened.

Gokarṇas are large spotted antelopes with horns that resemble the horns of a cow.
