Chapter 20: Rāma Kills the Fourteen Rākṣasas
Text 3.20.14
का हि ते शक्तिरेकस्य बहूनां रणमूर्धनि।
अस्माकमग्रतः स्थातुं किं पुनर्योद्धुमाहवे॥
kā hi te śaktir ekasya bahūnāṁ raṇa-mūrdhani
asmākam agrataḥ sthātuṁ kiṁ punar yoddhum āhave
kā hi = what; te = do You have; śaktiḥ = strength 1; ekasya = one man; bahūnām = many [rākṣasas]; raṇa-mūrdhani = in a great battle; asmākam = of us; agrataḥ = in front; sthātum = to [even] stand; kim punaḥ = [and] what to speak of; yoddhum = fighting [with us]; āhave = in battle.
What strength do You, one man, have to [even] stand in front of us, many [rākṣasas], in a great battle [and] what to speak of fighting [with us] in battle?1
