Chapter 20: Rāma Kills the Fourteen Rākṣasas
Text 3.20.23
तान्दृष्ट्वा पतितान्भूमौ राक्षसी क्रोधमूर्च्छिता।
परित्रस्ता पुनस्तत्र व्यसृजद्भैरवस्वनान्॥
tān dṛṣṭvā patitān bhūmau rākṣasī krodha-mūrcchitā
paritrastā punas tatra vyasṛjad bhairava-svanān
tān = them; dṛṣṭvā = seeing; patitān = fall; bhūmau = on the ground; rākṣasī = the rākṣasī; krodha-mūrcchitā = became overwhelmed with anger; paritrastā = and terror; punaḥ = again; tatra vyasṛjat = she left that place; bhairava-svanān = while roaring terribly.
Seeing them fall on the ground while roaring terribly, the rākṣasī became overwhelmed with anger and terror.1 She again left that place.
