Chapter 23: Khara Disregards Evil Omens on the Way
Text 3.23.24
न क्वचित्प्राप्तपूर्वो मे संयुगेषु पराजयः।
युष्माकमेतत्प्रत्यक्षं नानृतं कथयाम्यहम्॥
na kvacit prāpta-pūrvo me saṁyugeṣu parājayaḥ
yuṣmākam etat pratyakṣaṁ nānṛtaṁ kathayāmy aham
na kvacit = never; prāpta-pūrvaḥ = experienced in the past; me = I have; saṁyugeṣu = in battle; parājayaḥ = defeat; yuṣmākam = You; etat = this; pratyakṣam = can see [for yourselves]; na = not; anṛtam kathayāmi = am lying; aham = I.
I have never experienced defeat in battle in the past. You can see this [for yourselves]. I am not lying.
