स्वस्ति गोब्राह्मणेभ्योऽस्तु लोकानां येऽभिसङ्गताः।
जयतां राघवो युद्धे पौलस्त्यान्रजनीचरान् ॥
चक्रहस्तो यथा युद्धे सर्वानसुरपुङ्गवान्।
वमुक्त्वा पुनः प्रोचुरालोक्य च परस्परम्॥
svasti go-brāhmaṇebhyo ’stu lokānāṁ ye ’bhisaṅgatāḥ
jayatāṁ rāghavo yuddhe paulastyān rajanīcarān
cakra-hasto yathā yuddhe sarvān asura-puṅgavān
evam uktvā punaḥ procur ālokya ca parasparam
svasti = auspiciousness; go-brāhmaṇebhyaḥ = unto the cows, brāhmaṇas; astu = may there be; lokānām = to the worlds; ye = and those who; abhisaṅgatāḥ = are favorable; jayatām = may be victorious; rāghavaḥ = Rāghava; yuddhe = in battle; paulastyān = descendants of Pulastya; rajanīcarān = over the night-ranging; cakra-hastaḥ = the disc-wielding Lord Viṣṇu; yathā = just as; yuddhe = in battle; sarvān = [destroys] all; asura-puṅgavān = great demons; evam = thus; uktvā = having spoken; punaḥ = again; procuḥ = spoke [the following]; ālokya = they looked; ca = and; parasparam = at each other.
“May there be auspiciousness unto the cows, brāhmaṇas and those who are favorable to the worlds! May Rāghava be victorious in battle over the night-ranging descendants of Pulastya just as the disc-wielding Lord Viṣṇu [destroys] all great demons in battle.” Having spoken thus, they looked at each other and again spoke [the following].
