Chapter 25: Śrī Rāma’s Battle with Khara’s Army
Text 3.25.4
तं तु निष्पतितं दृष्ट्वा सर्वे ते रजनीचराः।
नर्दमाना महानादं सचिवाः पर्यवारयन्॥
taṁ tu niṣpatitaṁ dṛṣṭvā sarve te rajanīcarāḥ
nardamānā mahā-nādaṁ sacivāḥ paryavārayan
tam tu = Khara; niṣpatitam = to be ready for battle; dṛṣṭvā = noticing; sarve = all; te = of the; rajanīcarāḥ = night-rangers; nardamānāḥ mahā-nādam = while shouting very loudly; sacivāḥ = who were his assistants; paryavārayan = surrounded [Rāma].
Noticing Khara to be ready for battle, all of the night-rangers who were his assistants surrounded [Rāma] while shouting very loudly.1
