Chapter 25: Śrī Rāma’s Battle with Khara’s Army
Text 3.25.17
दुरावारान्दुर्विषहान्कालदण्डोपमान्रणे।
मुमोच लीलया रामः कङ्कपत्रानजिह्मगान्॥
durāvārān durviṣahān kāla-daṇḍopamān raṇe
mumoca līlayā rāmaḥ kaṅka-patrān ajihmagān
durāvārān = unassailable; durviṣahān = and unbearable; kāla-daṇḍa-upamān = that were comparable to the shaft of Yamarāja; raṇe = in the battle; mumoca = shot; līlayā = easily; rāmaḥ = Rāma; kaṅka-patrān = arrows 1; ajihmagān = they flew straight to their targets.
In the battle, Rāma easily shot unassailable and unbearable arrows that were comparable to the shaft of Yamarāja. They flew straight to their targets.1
