Chapter 25: Śrī Rāma’s Battle with Khara’s Army
Text 3.25.19
भित्त्वा राक्षसदेहांस्तांस्ते शरा रुधिराप्लुताः।
अन्तरिक्षगता रेजुर्दीप्ताग्निसमतेजसः॥
bhittvā rākṣasa-dehāṁs tāṁs te śarā rudhirāplutāḥ
antarikṣa-gatā rejur dīptāgni-sama-tejasaḥ
bhittvā = piercing; rākṣasa-dehān tān = the bodies of the rākṣasas; te = the; śarāḥ = arrows; rudhira-āplutāḥ = became fully wet with their blood; antarikṣa-gatāḥ = reaching the sky; rejuḥ = they shone; dīpta-agni-sama-tejasaḥ = with a brilliance of a blazing flame.
Piercing the bodies of the rākṣasas, the arrows became fully wet with their blood. Reaching the sky, they shone with a brilliance of a blazing flame.
