Chapter 25: Śrī Rāma’s Battle with Khara’s Army
Text 3.25.20
असङ्ख्येयास्तु रामस्य सायकाश्चापमण्डलात्।
विनिष्पेतुरतीवोग्रा रक्षःप्राणापहारिणः॥
asaṅkhyeyās tu rāmasya sāyakāś cāpa-maṇḍalāt
viniṣpetur atīvogrā rakṣaḥ-prāṇāpahāriṇaḥ
asaṅkhyeyāḥ tu = innumerable; rāmasya = Śrī Rāma’s; sāyakāḥ = arrows; cāpa-maṇḍalāt = from bow that had been bent into a circle; viniṣpetuḥ = flew forth; atīva-ugrāḥ = they were extremely fierce; rakṣaḥ-prāṇa-apahāriṇaḥ = and took away the lives of the rākṣasas.
Innumerable arrows flew forth from Śrī Rāma’s bow that had been bent into a circle. They were extremely fierce and took away the lives of the rākṣasas.
