Chapter 25: Śrī Rāma’s Battle with Khara’s Army
Text 3.25.27
तानि बाणैर्महाबाहुः शस्त्राण्यावार्य राधवः।
जहार समरे प्राणांश्चिच्छेद च शिरोधरान्॥
tāni bāṇair mahā-bāhuḥ śastrāṇy āvārya rāghavaḥ
jahāra samare prāṇāṁś ciccheda ca śirodharān
tāni = those; bāṇaiḥ = using His arrows; mahā-bāhuḥ = mighty-armed; śastrāṇi = weapons; āvārya = restrained; rāghavaḥ = Rāghava; jahāra = took away; samare = in the battle; prāṇān = their lives; ciccheda = cut; ca = and [thus]; śirodharān = their necks.
Mighty-armed Rāghava restrained those weapons using His arrows, cut their necks and [thus] took away their lives in the battle.
