Chapter 25: Śrī Rāma’s Battle with Khara’s Army
Text 3.25.30
तान्सर्वान्पुनरादाय समाश्वास्य च दूषणः।
अभ्यधावत काकुत्स्थं क्रुद्धो रुद्रमिवान्तकः॥
tān sarvān punar ādāya samāśvāsya ca dūṣaṇaḥ
abhyadhāvata kākutsthaṁ kruddho rudram ivāntakaḥ
tān sarvān = all of them; punar = again; ādāya = gathered; samāśvāsya = and pacified; ca = and; dūṣaṇaḥ = Dūṣaṇa; abhyadhāvata = rushed; kākutstham = towards Kākutstha; kruddhaḥ = in anger; rudram = [rushing towards] Rudra; iva = like; antakaḥ = Yama.
Dūṣaṇa again gathered and pacified all of them, and rushed towards Kākutstha like Yama [rushing towards] Rudra in anger.
Dūṣaṇa gathered [all those rākṣasas] by preventing them from going to Khara [for shelter]. He resembled Yama who had been defeated by Rudra.
