Chapter 30: Khara Destroyed
Text 3.30.21
तस्य बाणान्तराद्रक्तं बहु सुस्राव फेनिलम्।
गिरेः प्रस्रवणस्येव तोयधारापरिस्रवः॥
tasya bāṇāntarād raktaṁ bahu susrāva phenilam
gireḥ prasravaṇasyeva toya-dhārā-parisravaḥ
tasya = Rāma’s; bāṇa-antarāt = from the cuts in [Khara’s] body inflicted by arrows; raktam bahu = a lot of blood; susrāva = gushed out; phenilam = with foam; gireḥ = from Mount; prasravaṇasya = Prasravaṇa; iva = like; toya-dhārā-parisravaḥ = the streams of water that flow.
Like the streams of water that flow from Mount Prasravaṇa, a lot of blood gushed out with foam from the cuts in [Khara’s] body inflicted by Rāma’s arrows.
