Chapter 38: Mārīca Instructs Rāvaṇa
Text 3.38.3
विश्वामित्रोऽथ धर्मात्मा मद्वित्रस्तो महामुनिः।
स्वयं गत्वा दशरथं नरेन्द्रमिदमब्रवीत्॥
viśvāmitro ’tha dharmātmā mad-vitrasto mahā-muniḥ
svayaṁ gatvā daśarathaṁ narendram idam abravīt
viśvāmitraḥ = Viśvāmitra; atha = then; dharma-ātmā = and whose mind was fixed on dharma; vitrastaḥ = who was frightened; mat = of me; mahā-muniḥ = the great sage; svayam = personally; gatvā = went; daśaratham = Daśaratha; nara-indram = to King; idam = the following; abravīt = and spoke.
Then the great sage Viśvāmitra, who was frightened of me and whose mind was fixed on dharma, personally went to King Daśaratha and spoke the following.
