Chapter 52: Rāvaṇa Again Abducts Sītā
Text 3.52.10
इति पक्षिं समालिङ्ग्य स्मृत्वा श्वशुरमेव च।
उच्चैःस्वरेण चुक्रोश हा राघव न पश्यसि॥
iti pakṣiṁ samāliṅgya smṛtvā śvaśuram eva ca
uccaiḥ svareṇa cukrośa hā rāghava na paśyasi
iti = [having said] this; pakṣim = the bird; samāliṅgya = she embraced; smṛtvā = remembered; śvaśuram = her father-in-law; eva ca = and; uccaiḥ = in a loud; svareṇa = voice; cukrośa = she [then] cried out; hā = O; rāghava = Rāghava; na paśyasi = don’t You see [me in this condition].
[Having said] this, she embraced the bird and remembered her father-in-law. She [then] cried out in a loud voice, “O Rāghava, don’t You see [me in this condition]?”
