Canto 3 -
Araṇya-kāṇḍa
Chapter 52: Rāvaṇa Again Abducts Sītā
Text 3.52.20

तप्ताभरणवर्णाङ्गी पीतकौशेयवासिनी।
रराज राजपुत्री तु विद्युत्सौदामिनी यथा॥

taptābharaṇa-varṇāṅgī pīta-kauśeya-vāsinī
rarāja rāja-putrī tu vidyut saudāminī yathā

tapta-ābharaṇa-varṇa-aṅgī = with her limbs possessing the hue of ornaments of molten gold; pīta-kauśeya-vāsinī = [and] clad in yellow silk; rarāja = shone; rāja-putrī tu = the princess; tu = indeed; vidyut = a brilliant; saudāminī = lightning; yathā = like.

With her limbs possessing the hue of ornaments of molten gold, the princess dressed in yellow silk shone like a brilliant lightning.

Just as a lightning stays on a cloud only for a moment, it is indicated that Sītā-devī was under Rāvaṇa’s control [just for a while].
