Chapter 52: Rāvaṇa Again Abducts Sītā
Text 3.52.33
उत्तमाङ्गाच्च्युता तस्याः पुष्पवृष्टिः समन्ततः।
सीताया ह्रियमाणायाः पपात धरणीतले॥
uttamāṅgāc cyutā tasyāḥ puṣpa-vṛṣṭiḥ samantataḥ
sītāyā hriyamāṇāyāḥ papāta dharaṇī-tale
uttama-aṅgat = from her head; cyutā = dropping; tasyāḥ puṣpa-vṛṣṭiḥ = a shower of flowers; samantataḥ = all around [her]; sītāyāḥ = while Sītā; hriyamāṇāyāḥ = was being carried away; papāta = fell; dharaṇī-tale = on the surface of the earth.
While Sītā was being carried away, a shower of flowers dropping from her head fell around [her] on the surface of the earth.
