Chapter 52: Rāvaṇa Again Abducts Sītā
Text 3.52.34
सा तु रावणवेगेन पुष्पवृष्टिः समन्ततः।
समाधूता दशग्रीवं पुनरेवाभ्यवर्तत॥
sā tu rāvaṇa-vegena puṣpa-vṛṣṭiḥ samantataḥ
samādhūtā daśagrīvaṁ punar evābhyavartata
sā tu = the; rāvaṇa-vegena = by the force of Rāvaṇa’s flight; puṣpa-vṛṣṭiḥ = shower of flowers; samantataḥ = all around [her]; samādhūtā = that scattered; daśagrīvam = Daśagrīva; punaḥ eva = also; abhyavartata = fell around.
By the force of Rāvaṇa’s flight, the shower of flowers that scattered all around [her] also fell around Daśagrīva.1
1 Rāmāyaṇa-bhūṣaṇa: abhyavartata abhitaḥ prāvartiṣṭa.
This indicates that Rāvaṇa flew very quickly.
The next verse describes the shower of flowers [mentioned in the current verse].
