Chapter 52: Rāvaṇa Again Abducts Sītā
Text 3.52.38
तस्यास्तान्यग्निवर्णानि भूषणानि महीतले।
सघोषाण्यवकीर्यन्त क्षीणास्तारा इवाम्बरात्॥
tasyās tāny agnivarṇāni bhūṣaṇāni mahī-tale
saghoṣāṇy avakīryanta kṣīṇās tārā ivāmbarāt
tasyāḥ = her; tāni agni-varṇāni = and shining like fire; bhūṣaṇāni = other ornaments; mahī-tale = on the earth’s surface; saghoṣāṇi = jingling; avakīryanta = scattered; kṣīṇāḥ = decayed; tārāḥ = meteors; iva = like; ambarāt = from outer space.
Like decayed meteors from outer space, her other jingling ornaments scattered on the earth’s surface while shining like fire.
