Chapter 52: Rāvaṇa Again Abducts Sītā
Text 3.52.46

वित्रस्तका दीनमुखा रुरुदुर्मृगपोतकाः।
उद्वीक्ष्योद्वीक्ष्य नयनैरास्रपाताविलेक्षणाः॥

vitrastakā dīna-mukhā rurudur mṛga-potakāḥ
udvīkṣyodvīkṣya nayanair āsra-pātāvilekṣaṇāḥ

vitrastakāḥ = became extremely alarmed; dīna-mukhāḥ = with dejected faces; ruruduḥ = and cried; mṛga-potakāḥ = the fawns; udvīkṣya udvīkṣya = they repeatedly looked up [towards the sky]; nayanaiḥ = from their eyes; āsra-pāta-āvila-īkṣaṇāḥ = [but] their vision was blocked by by the flow of tears.

The fawns became extremely alarmed and cried. With dejected faces, they repeatedly looked up [towards the sky but] their vision was blocked by the flow of tears from their eyes.
