Chapter 70: The Fall of Kabandha
Text 3.70.15
अस्य देवप्रभावस्य वसतो विजने वने।
राक्षसापहृता पत्नी यामिच्छन्ताविहागतौ॥
asya deva-prabhāvasya vasato vijane vane
rākṣasāpahṛtā patnī yām icchantāv ihāgatau
asya = He; deva-prabhāvasya = has the power of God; vasataḥ = while residing; vijane = in [this] lonely; vane = forest; rākṣasa-apahṛtā = was kidnapped by a rākṣasa; patnī = His wife; yām = for her; icchantau = searching; iha = here; āgatau = We came.
He has the power of God. While residing in [this] lonely forest, His wife was kidnapped by a rākṣasa. We came here searching for her.1
