Chapter 70: The Fall of Kabandha
Text 3.70.16
त्वं तु को वा किमर्थं वा कबन्धसदृशो वने।
आस्येनोरसि दीप्तेन भग्नजङ्घो विवेष्टसे॥
tvaṁ tu ko vā kim-arthaṁ vā kabandha-sadṛśo vane
āsyenorasi dīptena bhagna-jaṅgho viveṣṭase
tvam tu = are you; kaḥ vā = who; kim-artham vā = why; kabandha-sadṛśaḥ = do you look like a headless trunk; vane = in the forest; āsyena = mouth; urasi = is in your chest; dīptena = and your shining; bhagna-jaṅghaḥ = your legs are broken; viveṣṭase = wallowing about.
Who are you? Why do you look like a headless trunk, wallowing about in the forest? Your legs are broken and your shining mouth is in your chest.
