Chapter 72: Kabandha Tells Rāma About Sugrīva

लक्ष्मणस्तु महोल्काभिर्ज्वलिताभिः समन्ततः।
चितामादीपयामास सा प्रजज्वाल सर्वतः॥
lakṣmaṇas tu maholkābhir jvalitābhiḥ samantataḥ
citām ādīpayām āsa sā prajajvāla sarvataḥ
lakṣmaṇaḥ tu = Lakṣmaṇa; mahā-ulkābhiḥ = with large firebrands; jvalitābhiḥ = blazing; samantataḥ = on all sides; citām = the pyre; ādīpayām āsa = lit; sā = the pyre; prajajvāla = burnt fiercely; sarvataḥ = in all directions.
Lakṣmaṇa lit the pyre on all sides with large, blazing firebrands. The pyre burnt fiercely in all directions.
